PROCESS
1. Select one or two of these places where you think you will find things not well writing in English.
- Parks: Berrio, Bolivar, Lleras.
- Recreational Parks: Pies Descalzos, Deseos, Explora, Norte.
- Shopping Malls: Unicentro, Puerta del norte, Oviedo, Santa Fe
- Universities: UPB, U de A, U NAL, EAFIT
2. You must collect evidence that shows cases of linguistic interference on these places, therefore, you should move to that place by Metro, bus or car. (On the resources you will find which bus routes and which metro stations you must use)
3. When you are in the place you choose, you must collect the evidence through photos, videos or voice recordings about public announcements, for that, you should use your cell phone, smart phone, blackberry or video camera, what matters is that any device you use to record the evidence, allows to see or hear clearly those things what you think are not well writing.
4. After collecting all the evidence, you should search information about linguistic interference including examples that will give you an idea about how it looks like. With this information you have to compare if the things that you consider have been not well written in English are linguistic interference cases or not. For that we suggest to you go to the resources, there you will find WebPages and some documents that will help you to get information.
5. When you have done all the comparisons you must make a video including this things:A description about how was your experience getting around the city collecting the evidence,all the evidence that have been collected (photos, videos or voice recordings)and the comparisons that you made with the linguistic interference information. We suggest to you make the video in WMV format because it allows to you edit the video on Movie Maker that is a program that allow edit your videos adding effects, sounds, soundtracks, etc.
